Diaphragmatic pheochromocytoma: Two case reports and a review of the literature.
Pheochromocytomas typically arise in the adrenal medulla, whereas ectopic pheochromocytomas/paragangliomas commonly occur near the abdominal aorta, bladder, mediastinum, and head. Diaphragmatic pheochromocytomas are exceedingly rare, and there is limited surgical experience with their treatment. ⋯ This report serves to remind the reader that the transthoracic approach to diaphragmatic pheochromocytoma may prove to be more advantageous than the transperitoneal approach. Additionally, precise preoperative localization of the tumor and careful intraoperative monitoring and assessment are imperative to achieve favorable outcomes.

Dysplastic ganglion cell tumor of the right cerebellum: A case report and literature review.
This study aims to present a case of cerebellar dysplastic ganglioneuroma, which is commonly referred to as Lhermitte-Duclos disease (LDD). Furthermore, the study aims to provide an extensive review of the essential aspects of LDD, thereby providing essential information for its accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. ⋯ LDD presents both benign and tumor characteristics, with a low likelihood of malignancy. Total resection is the recommended treatment, although challenges in complete excision may lead to recurrence. The importance of considering Cowden syndrome and genetic testing, particularly the PTEN gene, in patients with LDD, is emphasized. Long-term follow-up care is crucial for monitoring recurrence and related conditions.

Primary sarcomatoid carcinoma of the trachea: A case report and literature review.
Primary sarcomatoid carcinoma of the trachea (PSCT) is a rare malignant tumor of the lower respiratory tract. Pathological types of tracheal sarcomatoid carcinoma (TSC)s include pleomorphic carcinomas, giant cell carcinomas, spindle cell carcinomas, pulmonoblastomas, and carcinosarcomas. At present, there are limited reports on PSCT, and pathologists lack sufficient knowledge about it. ⋯ Pathological morphology and immunohistochemical analyses deepen our understanding of the pathological features of TSC and provide a diagnostic reference for clinicians who will encounter such cases in the future.

Giant cell tumor of proximal femur managed by extended curettage with fibular strut allograft using long intramedullary interlocking nail: A case report and literature review.
We first report a unique case of proximal femoral Giant cell tumor of bone, a subtrochanteric lesion associated with femoral neck and intertrochanteric involvement. We chose a completely new surgical approach to treat the primary tumor and preserve the hip joint. No cases of this type have ever been reported. ⋯ For young patients with imaging grade <3 who need limb salvage, fibular strut allograft and intramedullary nail-fixation are also an alternative treatment option for hip reconstruction after tumor surgery when the lesion involves the entire proximal femur.

Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) is a significant component of the noncoding genome and refers to RNA molecules that exceed 200 nucleotides in length. It plays a crucial role in both promoting and suppressing cancer by regulating the proliferation, invasion, and metastasis of tumor cells. We have found a correlation between cancer susceptibility candidate 11 (CASC11) experssion and tumorigenesis development prognosis in a number of studies on tumors. Hence, this meta-analysis was conducted to further investigate the effects of CASC11 expression on clinicopathological features and outcome. Furthermore, CASC11 can act both as a therapeutic target and a cancer biomarker. ⋯ Overall, this analysis established a strong correlation between CASC11 expression and tumor prognosis, suggesting its potential as a predictive marker for tumor progression in diverse cancer types.
