Breast cancer remains a complex and prevalent health concern affecting millions of individuals worldwide. This review paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the multifaceted landscape of breast cancer, elucidating the diverse spectrum of risk factors contributing to its occurrence and exploring advancements in diagnostic methodologies. Through an extensive examination of current literature, various risk factors have been identified, encompassing genetic predispositions such as BRCA mutations, hormonal influences, lifestyle factors, and reproductive patterns. ⋯ Despite these advancements, challenges persist in ensuring widespread accessibility to screening programs, particularly in resource-limited settings. In conclusion, this review underscores the importance of understanding diverse risk factors in the development of breast cancer and emphasizes the critical role of evolving diagnostic modalities in enhancing early detection. The synthesis of current knowledge in this review aims to contribute to a deeper comprehension of breast cancer's multifactorial nature and inform future directions in research, screening strategies, and preventive interventions.

The objective of this review is to elaborate on the status, hotspots, and trends of researches on acupuncture for stroke over the past 26 years. Publications about acupuncture for stroke were downloaded from the Web of Science Core Collection, and these papers were published up to December 31, 2022. A bibliometric analysis of acupuncture for stroke was conducted by CiteSpace (6.2. ⋯ An paper written by EZ Longa was the most influential reference, with the highest citation count. The hotspots and frontiers of this area of research were focused on the mechanisms of acupuncture, especially its neural regenerative or neuroprotective effects. This study used CiteSpace and VOSviewer for bibliometric analysis to provide researchers with information on the research status, hotspots, and trends in acupuncture for stroke research over the past 26 years.

Recent advances in the management of immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP): A comprehensive review.
Autoimmune disorders place a substantial burden on the healthcare system all over the world affecting almost 3% to 8% of the population. Immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), also known as idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, is a blood disorder in which the body immune system destroys platelets, leading to low platelet counts in the blood (peripheral blood platelet count < 150 × 109/L). Although the pathophysiology of ITP is not fully understood, it is believed to result from a complex interplay between hereditary and environmental variables. ⋯ This comprehensive review offers a comprehensive assessment of recent advancements in ITP management, with a focus on active research projects, novel therapeutic targets, new treatment modalities, and areas of uncertainty and unmet needs. According to research, it is crucial to develop individualized treatment plans for ITP patients based on their age, platelet count, risk of bleeding, and comorbidities. The article also looks at how future developments in gene editing, bispecific antibody therapies, and cellular therapy may completely change the treatment of ITP.

The world is faced with challenges due to a growing aging population and the increasing burden of chronic disease. The acute shortage of nurses and high turnover rates, particularly among novice nurses, are of great concern in many countries. Several studies have shown that turnover intention among nurses is influenced by professional identity and job satisfaction. ⋯ Both professional identity (r = -0.459) and job satisfaction (r = -0.517) were significantly and moderately negatively correlated with turnover intention (P < .01). The results of the multivariate linear regression analysis revealed that variables including "Whether living with relatives," "Professional identity," "Control and responsibility for work," and "Benefits" jointly accounted for 29.9% of the variance related to turnover intention among novice nurses. "Whether living with relatives," "Professional identity," "Control and responsibility for work," and "Benefits" were highly predictive of turnover intention levels among novice nurses. Hence, potential predictors of turnover intention should be considered, and intervention research should be conducted to reduce the level of turnover intention among novice nurses.

Dental decision-making represents the establishment of a common understanding between the dental professional and the recipient of the intervention, which determines oral healthcare and dental treatment policies. Dental decision-making for persons with dementia can be challenging, and there have been no systematic reviews on this topic. Therefore, this systematic narrative review aimed to identify the current state of dental decision-making in persons with dementia. ⋯ Through the process of research selection, 7 articles with a high risk of bias were included in this study. This review clarified that there is limited information on the dental decision-making processes for persons with dementia. In conclusion, although this may be difficult due to different medical and socioeconomic conditions, the dilemma between the need to establish evidence for dental decision-making and medical ethics that prioritize a patient-centered position should be discussed globally in the future.
