Bolus administration of remimazolam was superior to midazolam for deep sedation in elderly patients undergoing diagnostic bronchoscopy: A randomized, double-blind, controlled trial.
To date, there is no standardized practice for the use of pharmacological sedatives during flexible bronchoscopy, particularly for elderly patients. This exploratory study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of remimazolam at a single induced dose for deep sedation in elderly patients undergoing diagnostic flexible bronchoscopy (DFB), and compare with midazolam, a commonly used sedative. ⋯ Bolus administration of remimazolam offers advantages over midazolam for deep sedation in elderly patients undergoing DFB, in terms of a higher success rate of sedation and a lower incidence of extra sleep within 6 hours after procedure, though the safety profiles of both groups were favorable.

Oral behavior management methods include basic behavior management methods and drug behavior management methods. In many cases, dental treatment that cannot be done simply through basic behavior management is not possible. ⋯ Drug sedation can provide more effective analgesic and anti-anxiety effects, thereby helping to provide comfortable, efficient, and high-quality dental services. This article will review the drug sedation methods selected in clinical treatment of pediatric dental fear in recent years, as well as the safety and effectiveness of commonly used drugs, in order to provide guidance for dental professionals in clinical practice.

Non-coding RNA (ncRNA) is a type of RNA that does not code for proteins and plays a crucial role in the onset, progression, diagnosis, and therapy of acute pancreatitis. However, bibliometric, and visual analyses of studies on acute pancreatitis and ncRNA are lacking. This study seeks to provide a bibliometric overview of the knowledge structure and research hotspots of ncRNA in the field of acute pancreatitis research. ⋯ In conclusion, ncRNA research in acute pancreatitis is an established discipline. Researchers can use the research hotspots and frontiers in this field as a guide for choosing their research direction.

Multidisciplinary management based on clinical nursing pathway model for the treatment of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage: A randomized controlled trial.
To explore the effectiveness of multidisciplinary management based on a clinical nursing pathway model for the treatment of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (HICH). ⋯ Our findings indicate that adopting a multidisciplinary management approach based on clinical nursing pathways to intervene in patients with HICH can reduce stress response levels, reduce the risk of complications, and facilitate the recovery of neurological function and activities of daily living with high patient satisfaction.

Giant intracranial aneurysms pose a significant threat due to high mortality rates upon rupture, prompting interventions such as neurosurgical clipping or endovascular coiling. ⋯ Our findings suggest that retrievable stent mechanical thrombectomy may serve as a viable therapeutic option in challenging scenarios, emphasizing the need for further exploration of alternative interventions to enhance patient care.
