Targeting the gut microbiota is an emerging strategy to treat nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Nonetheless, the causal relationship between specific gut microbiota and NAFLD remains unclear. We first obtained genome-wide association study statistics on gut microbiota and NAFLD from publicly available databases. ⋯ Heterogeneity (P > .05) and pleiotropy (P > .05) analyses validated the robustness of the MR results. There was no causal effect of NAFLD on these bacterial taxa in the reverse MR analysis. We identified specific gut microbiota with causal effects on NAFLD through gene prediction, which may provide useful guidance for targeting the gut microbiota to intervene and treat NAFLD.

Acupuncture is widely used in the treatment of tinnitus worldwide because of its good efficacy and safety. However, the criteria for selecting acupoint prescriptions and combinations have not been summarized. Therefore, data mining was used herein to determine the treatment principles and the most effective acupoint selection for the treatment of idiopathic tinnitus. ⋯ In this study, the published literature on acupuncture treatment of idiopathic tinnitus was analyzed by data mining, and the relationship between acupoints was explored, which provided a more wise choice for clinical acupuncture treatment of idiopathic tinnitus.

Bladder Cancer (BC) is a widespread form of cancer that affects over 1.6 million people globally. The majority of cases are diagnosed as urothelial carcinoma, with a higher likelihood of diagnosis in men and with increasing age. The Arab world (AW) is one of the regions with the highest incidence and mortality rates of BC, and the average age of diagnosis is between 40 and 49 years in North Africa and the Middle East. This study aims to assess the activity and distribution of BC publications in the AW. ⋯ The findings reveal that Egypt and Jordan are at the forefront of BC research in the region, while other Arab countries are lagging behind despite being heavily impacted by the disease. To drive progress in the field, it's important to uncover the obstacles impeding BC research in these countries and implement effective solutions to overcome them.

The attitudes and behaviors to TCM are divided, some West Medicine Doctors prefer TCM during treatment, while others consider it not effective. The objective of this study is to find out the attitudes and treatment behaviors of Chengdu physicians toward TCM, and identify factors associated with their attitude and behaviors. ⋯ On the other hand, physicians were more positive on self-use (49.40%) and recommendation (55.98%) of TCM than giving TCM prescriptions (36.60%) to patients. The attitudes and behaviors toward may not be consistent, which means physicians may not give prescriptions to patients even they have good attitudes to TCM. Education and self-use of TCM are important positive factors that influence the behaviors of physicians.

The study aims to examine out nurses' awareness of self-comfort and well-being in long-term care settings in the state of Kuwait to avoid profession burnout. Nurses are vital resource to health care institutions, the attention on nurses' comfort and well-being should be given valued concerns by top management, as poor staff well-being can pose risks among them and may result in poor performance such as less quality care that is result from less productivity and if the staff well-being ignored the institution performance might be underachieved. A descriptive cross-sectional study design was utilized. ⋯ As well as, a strong, positive, and significant correlation was noticed between overall nurses' comfort and its domains with the overall nurses' well-being and its domain. The regression analysis revealed that nurses' perception of their comfort may predict their well-being (P < .001) and explained 34% of the variation in nurses' well-being (R2 = 0.470, β = 0.428, F = 34.762, P < .001). This study emphasized on the importance of creating a healthy, comfortable work environment that promotes nurses' well-being, as well as eliminating discomfort and job dissatisfaction from the organizational culture among nurses as it effects on the organizational performance, productivity, and quality of care.
