Whiplash injury, commonly occurring as a result of car accidents, represents a significant public health concern. However, to date, no comprehensive study has utilized bibliometric approaches to analyze all published research on whiplash injury. Therefore, our study aims to provide an overview of current trends and the global research landscape using bibliometrics and visualization software. ⋯ The number of papers and citations has increased significantly over the past 2 decades. Whiplash injury research is characteristically multidisciplinary in approach, involving the fields of rehabilitation, neuroscience, and spinal disciplines. By identifying current research trends, our study offers valuable insights to guide future research endeavors in this field.

Recurrent miscarriage (RM) has a huge impact on women. Both oxidative stress and ferroptosis play an important role in the pathogenesis of RM. Hence, it was vital to screen the ferroptosis oxidation-related biomarkers for the diagnosis and treatment of RM. ⋯ There were 11 drugs with therapeutic potential on 3 biomarkers associated with ferroptosis oxidation. We also observed higher expression of CPT1A and CREB3L1 in RM group compared to the healthy control group by quantitative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Overall, we obtained 4 biomarkers (PTPN6, GJA1, CPT1A, and CREB3L1) associated with ferroptosis and oxidative stress, which laid a theoretical foundation for the diagnosis and treatment of RM.

An important diagnostic marker of acute myocardial infarction patients: Plasma miRNA133 levels.
The objective of this study was to explore changes in miRNA133 levels as a basis for clinical diagnostic markers in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). A total of 100 chest pain patient cases admitted to a hospital from June 2021 to December 2022 were used. The study involved the selection of 50 patients: 25 patients with unstable undetermined heart pain and 25 healthy subjects were included in the control group of 50 patients with non-AMI patients. ⋯ The area under mi-RNA-133 in the regression curve was 95.4%, the specificity of the whole combination of indicators was 89.4% and the sensitivity was 100%. Finally, the correlation between mi-RNA-133 and white blood cell count (WBC) and TG was statistically significant (P < .05). In conclusion, changes in the level of mi-RNA-133 may be an important marker for diagnosing the status of patients with AMI, while a faster and more accurate method will emerge along with the improvement of the detection technology, and at the same time, due to the variability of the study cases and other limitations, further research will be carried out subsequently.

Coronary spastic angina (CSA) is common, and treatment options for refractory vasospastic angina are sometimes limited. Guizhifuling pills (GFP) have demonstrated efficacy in reducing CSA episodes, but their pharmacological mechanism remains unclear. To explore the mechanism of action of GFP in preventing and treating CSA, we employed network pharmacology and molecular docking to predict targets and analyze networks. ⋯ In addition, they are involved in various critical signaling pathways such as apelin, calcium, advanced glycation end product-receptor for advanced glycation end product, and necroptosis. Molecular docking analysis confirms favorable binding interactions between the active components of GFP and the selected target proteins. The effects of GFP in treating CSA involve multiple components, targets, and pathways, offering a theoretical basis for its clinical use and enhancing our understanding of how it works.

Recent advances in infertility therapy, such as hormone medication and in vitro fertilization (IVF), have led to an increase in the demand for IVF. North Cyprus is a new medical tourist destination, and this study aimed to discover influential demographic predictors of IVF patients' satisfaction and quality-of-life (QoL) after receiving reproductive IVF services. Two questionnaires on IVF patient satisfaction and QoL were administered to 101 patients who received services in selected IVF clinics. ⋯ Doctor professionalism was another significant factor for greater satisfaction in older patients than in young patients who underwent IVF treatment. Satisfaction with IVF services was reduced by increasing education levels. IVF services must be managed and provided based on the needs of patients from different demographic backgrounds and efforts must be made to improve satisfaction with fertility services.
