Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Chronic Achilles tendinopathy: a prospective randomized study comparing the therapeutic effect of eccentric training, the AirHeel brace, and a combination of both.
Previous studies have shown that eccentric training has a positive effect on chronic Achilles tendinopathy. A new strategy for the treatment of chronic Achilles tendinopathy is the AirHeel brace. ⋯ The AirHeel brace is an alternative treatment option for chronic Achilles tendinopathy.

Comparative Study Clinical Trial
Primary versus single-stage revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using autologous hamstring tendon grafts: a prospective matched-group analysis.
There is a low level of evidence about clinical results after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) revision reconstruction using autologous hamstring tendon grafts. ⋯ In our patient series, primary ACL reconstruction showed significantly better results in Lysholm score, although the IKDC score and objective knee stability showed no significant difference between the groups. Thus, parameters other than measurable knee stability must be responsible for the inferior results of the revision reconstruction group.

Recent reports have noted the appearance of postarthroscopic glenohumeral chondrolysis. Although this devastating process has been identified, no cause has been directly identified. ⋯ Intra-articular pain pump catheters, especially those eluting bupivacaine with epinephrine, should be avoided until further investigation.

Treatment of Achilles tendon rupture has long been at the center of debate. ⋯ This surgical technique allows for strong repair stability and subsequent early weightbearing and ROM exercises.
