To explore patients' and family caregivers' experiences and perceptions of Hospice at Home care. ⋯ This study has provided additional insights as to the value of Hospice at Home care where Hospice Nurses are helping to bring Hospice care into the home. This is helping to support older people who are dying and their caregivers, to live as well as possible and facilitate their wish to be cared for and die in their own home.

To identify, evaluate and describe the psychometric properties of instruments that measure learning outcomes in healthcare students. ⋯ The systematic review produced a synthesis of the psychometric properties of tools that measure learning outcomes in students of healthcare disciplines. Measuring learning outcomes is very important when educating health professionals. The identified tools may constitute a starting point for the development of other assessment tools.

To describe what characterizes residents with higher levels compared with those with lower levels of thriving in nursing homes using the Thriving of Older People Assessment Scale. ⋯ Nursing home residents who experience thriving have a higher level of functioning in activities of daily living, a higher quality of life and are less physically and cognitively impaired.

This paper will explore the application of situation awareness in nursing to determine its suitability as a framework to study how the decision to admit or not admit a person as an involuntary patient is made. ⋯ The concept of situation awareness provides a framework to better understand the decision-making process associated with the involuntary admission decision.
