Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative Study
Comparison of BRYAN cervical disc arthroplasty with anterior cervical decompression and fusion: clinical and radiographic results of a randomized, controlled, clinical trial.
A prospective, randomized, multicenter study of surgical treatment of cervical disc disease. ⋯ Two-year follow-up results indicate that cervical disc arthroplasty is a viable alternative to anterior cervical discectomy and fusion in patients with persistently symptomatic, single-level cervical disc disease.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Efficacy of a patient-educational booklet for neck-pain patients with workers' compensation: a randomized controlled trial.
A randomized controlled trial of an educational booklet for patients with first-time neck pain. ⋯ This study demonstrates that the educational booklets studied were not associated with improved outcomes in patients with neck pain receiving workers' compensation. Whether these results would apply to a nonworkers' compensation population requires further study. The loss of many patients to follow-up also makes any other firm conclusions more difficult to determine.

A retrospective clinical study. ⋯ The O-C2 angle has considerable impact on dyspnea and/or dysphagia after O-C fusion. The O-C2 angle is easily measured during surgery and can be a practical index with which to avoid postoperative dyspnea and dysphagia.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
Predictors of outcome after anterior cervical discectomy and fusion: a multivariate analysis.
Retrospective cohort study. ⋯ We found that important predictors of outcome were work status, sensory function, involvement in litigation, and higher disability scores.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative Study
The efficacy of prostaglandin E1 derivative in patients with lumbar spinal stenosis.
Randomized controlled trial. ⋯ In this study, limaprost was found to be efficacious on most outcome measures, such as HRQOL, symptoms and subjective satisfaction, in LSS patents with cauda equina symptoms.
