ReviewContrast-Enhanced CT for the Diagnosis of Acute Mesenteric Ischemia.
OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the diagnostic and prognostic roles of CT in the management of acute mesenteric ischemia. ⋯ The prognosis is poor without treatment. Contrast-enhanced CT has become the cornerstone of diagnosis to identify features of vascular disorders and of intestinal ischemic injury and to visualize bowel necrosis.

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19): A Systematic Review of Imaging Findings in 919 Patients.
OBJECTIVE. Available information on CT features of the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is scattered in different publications, and a cohesive literature review has yet to be compiled. MATERIALS AND METHODS. ⋯ Imaging patterns corresponding to clinical improvement usually occur after week 2 of the disease and include gradual resolution of consolidative opacities and decrease in the number of lesions and involved lobes. CONCLUSION. This systematic review of current literature on COVID-19 provides insight into the initial and follow-up CT characteristics of the disease.

Epidemiology and Imaging Classification of Pediatric Cervical Spine Injuries: 12-Year Experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this study was to describe the epidemiology and imaging characteristics of cervical spine injuries in children with blunt trauma. MATERIALS AND METHODS. ⋯ CONCLUSION. Pediatric patients have high rates of upper cervical spine injuries, which tend to be distraction injuries that are frequently associated with avulsion fractures. Injury patterns in pediatric patients vary significantly by age, with patients younger than 3 years old being particularly prone to distraction type injuries.

Placenta Accreta Spectrum: Correlation of MRI Parameters With Pathologic and Surgical Outcomes of High-Risk Pregnancies.
OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this study is to determine whether MRI parameters of placenta accreta spectrum correlate with pathologic and surgical outcomes in high-risk pregnancies. MATERIALS AND METHODS. ⋯ CONCLUSION. MRI parameters are associated with placental invasion and correlate with the need for cesarean hysterectomy, as well as pathologic and surgical impressions of invasion. From these parameters, an organized template can be created to standardize reporting of placental invasion.

Role of Ultrasound and CT in the Workup of Right Upper Quadrant Pain in Adults in the Emergency Department: A Retrospective Review of More Than 2800 Cases.
OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this study was to compare ultrasound and CT in the diagnostic evaluation of right upper quadrant pain in adults in the emergency department. MATERIALS AND METHODS. ⋯ CT showed an acute nongallbladder abnormality missed at a preceding ultrasound examination in 103 of 322 cases (32%). CONCLUSION. CT is noninferior to ultrasound in both ruling in and ruling out the diagnosis of cholecystitis in adult patients undergoing emergency evaluation of right upper quadrant pain and offers the advantage of depicting acute nongallbladder abnormalities.
