Multicenter StudyRelation Between Chest CT Findings and Clinical Conditions of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Pneumonia: A Multicenter Study.
OBJECTIVE. The increasing number of cases of confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in China is striking. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between chest CT findings and the clinical conditions of COVID-19 pneumonia. ⋯ Most patients with COVID-19 pneumonia have GGO or mixed GGO and consolidation and vascular enlargement in the lesion. Lesions are more likely to have peripheral distribution and bilateral involvement and be lower lung predominant and multifocal. CT involvement score can help in evaluation of the severity and extent of the disease.

Perceptions of Radiologists and Emergency Medicine Providers Regarding the Quality, Value, and Challenges of Outside Image Sharing in the Emergency Department Setting.
OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this study is to assess the perceptions of radiologists and emergency medicine (EM) providers regarding the quality, value, and challenges associated with using outside imaging (i.e., images obtained at facilities other than their own institution). MATERIALS AND METHODS. ⋯ Radiologists and EM providers perceive high value in sharing images from outside facilities, despite quality concerns. Substantial challenges exist in accessing these images and reports from outside facilities, and providers are unlikely to do so using separate systems. However, even if information technology solutions for seamless image integration are adopted, providers' lack of confidence in outside studies may remain an important barrier.

ReviewUtility of Iodine Density Perfusion Maps From Dual-Energy Spectral Detector CT in Evaluating Cardiothoracic Conditions: A Primer for the Radiologist.
OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this article is to outline the utility of iodine density maps for evaluating cardiothoracic disease and abnormalities. ⋯ CONCLUSION. Understanding the technique of SDCT and being familiar with the features of different cardiothoracic conditions on iodine density map images help the radiologist make a better diagnosis.

Diagnostic Value of CT of Chest, Abdomen, and Pelvis in Patients With Solitary and Multiple Brain Lesions.
OBJECTIVE. A common goal in patients with newly discovered brain lesions is to determine if the lesions are primary malignant brain neoplasms, metastases, or benign entities. Such patients often undergo CT of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis (CT CAP) to identify a primary neoplasm that may have metastasized to the brain. ⋯ In 26 cases in which the intracranial lesions did not enhance, only one was metastatic. CONCLUSION. In patients with newly discovered brain lesions, CTC is warranted, but CTAP is unlikely to be useful in patients without ancillary signs of abdominopelvic neoplasm.

ReviewEvaluation and Management of Intermediate and High-Risk Pulmonary Embolism.
OBJECTIVE. The evidence regarding pulmonary embolism treatment has greatly advanced over the past 10 years, particularly in patients with right ventricular dysfunction or hemodynamic instability. ⋯ CONCLUSION. This article will review the data available for treatment options and summarize the evidence-based guidelines on treatment of intermediate- or high-risk pulmonary embolism.
