MRI Features Predictive of Invasive Placenta With Extrauterine Spread in High-Risk Gravid Patients: A Prospective Evaluation.
The objective of our study was to evaluate MRI diagnostic ability in predicting invasive placenta with extrauterine spread in high-risk gravid patients. ⋯ MRI is highly accurate in depicting placental extrauterine spread. The presence of abnormal vessels at the uterine serosa was the most important MRI feature for identifying invasive placenta. An abnormal vascular network within the vesicouterine space or parametrium was the most reliable MRI sign for detecting bladder or parametrial involvement.

ADC Metrics From Multiparametric MRI: Histologic Downgrading of Gleason Score 9 or 10 Prostate Cancers Diagnosed at Nontargeted Transrectal Ultrasound-Guided Biopsy.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate quantitative apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) metrics for the downgrading of Gleason score (GS) 9 or 10 prostate cancer (PCa) diagnosed by means of nontargeted transrectal ultrasound-guided biopsy. ⋯ ADC entropy was significantly lower in GS 9 and 10 tumors diagnosed by means of nontargeted transrectal ultrasound-guided biopsy that were eventually downgraded to intermediate risk (GS 7) after RP. ADC texture analysis may be useful for further risk stratification of PCa diagnosed at biopsy.

In-Hospital Mortality Benefit of Inferior Vena Cava Filters in Patients With Pulmonary Embolism and Congestive Heart Failure.
Pulmonary embolism (PE) is associated with a higher mortality rate in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) than in those without heart failure. The purpose of this study was to evaluate if inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement provides any mortality benefit in patients admitted with CHF and PE. ⋯ A lower all-cause mortality rate was observed in patients with CHF and PE who received an IVC filter while hospitalized. In the absence of data from randomized controlled trials, this study suggests that IVC filters could help prevent in-hospital death among patients admitted with PE and CHF.

Meta AnalysisDiagnostic Performance of Monoexponential DWI Versus Diffusion Kurtosis Imaging in Prostate Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
We aimed to compare the diagnostic performance of monoexponential DWI and diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) for the detection of prostate cancer (PCa). ⋯ Monoexponential DWI and DKI showed comparable diagnostic accuracies for PCa. DKI is a potentially helpful method for the diagnosis of PCa. Therefore, on the basis of current evidence, we do not recommend including DKI in routine clinical assessment of PCa for the moment.

CT Fluoroscopy-Guided Interlaminar Epidural Steroid Injections in the Cervical Spine: Rate of Nontarget Injection Into the Retrodural Space of Okada.
The purpose of this study was to assess the rate of inadvertent injection into the retrodural space of Okada during CT fluoroscopy-guided interlaminar epidural steroid injection in the cervical spine. ⋯ We identified a 2.9% rate of unintended injection into the retrodural space of Okada during cervical interlaminar epidural steroid injection. If unrecognized, these nontarget injections can result in treatment failure in a subset of patients who undergo cervical interlaminar epidural steroid injection. Future study is warranted to assess the rate of inadvertent Okada injection under conventional fluoroscopy and to compare the rates of detection between the two imaging-guided modalities.
