Slit-lamp ophthalmologic examination and ocular B-scan sonography of the globe are frequently constrained by technical limitations in the setting of traumatic orbital injury. The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic performance of CT in acute anterior segment ocular injuries as an adjunctive diagnostic modality. ⋯ Subtle ocular findings are readily detectable at CT and can provide valuable information to the ophthalmologist concerning acute trauma to the ocular anterior segment.

Comparative StudySemiquantitative Assessment of 18F-FDG Uptake in the Normal Skeleton: Comparison Between PET/CT and Time-of-Flight Simultaneous PET/MRI.
Differences in the attenuation correction methods used in PET/CT scanners versus the newly introduced whole-body simultaneous PET/MRI reportedly result in differences in standardized uptake values (SUVs) in the normal skeleton. The aim of the study was to compare the semiquantitative FDG uptake in the normal skeleton using time-of-flight (TOF) PET/MRI versus PET/CT with and without TOF. ⋯ In the normal skeleton, SUVmax and SUVmean showed high correlations between PET/MRI and PET/CT. The MRI attenuation correction used in TOF PET/MRI provides reliable semiquantitative measurements in the normal skeleton.

Split-Bolus Injection Producing Simultaneous Late Arterial and Portal Venous Phases in CT Enterography: Preliminary Results.
The purpose of this article is to evaluate the image quality and added value of split-bolus contrast agent injection combining late arterial and portal venous phases compared with single-bolus contrast agent injection late arterial phase CT enterography. ⋯ Split-bolus CT enterography led to improved CNR (47%) compared with single-bolus CT enterography and significantly increased the detection rate of mucosal hyperenhancement in patients with active inflammatory bowel disease.

Brain Microstructural Abnormalities in Patients With Cirrhosis Without Overt Hepatic Encephalopathy: A Voxel-Based Diffusion Kurtosis Imaging Study.
This study aimed to investigate whole-brain microstructural abnormalities and their correlation with cognitive impairment in patients with cirrhosis using diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI). ⋯ Lower DKI parameters suggest decreased brain microstructural complexity in patients with cirrhosis, which may contribute to the neurobiologic basis of cognitive impairment.

Diffusion Kurtosis Imaging Helps to Predict Upgrading in Biopsy-Proven Prostate Cancer With a Gleason Score of 6.
The purpose of this study was to investigate whether diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) is useful for predicting upgrades in Gleason score (GS) in biopsy-proven prostate cancer with a GS of 6. ⋯ The results showed that DKI may help in prediction of GS upgrade in biopsy-proven GS 6 prostate cancer. The comprehensive consideration of DKI and PSA may be a promising approach to predicting GS upgrade.
