Association of electrocardiogram findings with clinical outcomes in patients with chronic coronary syndrome: an analysis of the ISCHEMIA trials.
We aimed to investigate the association of electrocardiogram (ECG) findings with outcomes in patients with chronic coronary syndrome. ⋯ In patients with chronic coronary syndrome, an abnormal ECG tracing was associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular death. Our findings underscore the importance of the ECG in cardiovascular risk stratification and prognostication.

Statin Therapy, Inflammation, and Outcomes in Patients Hospitalized for Covid-19: A Prospective Multicenter Cohort Study.
Statins are lipid-lowering agents with anti-inflammatory effects. Data surrounding the benefits of statins in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are conflicting. We sought to better understand the impact of statins in the context of COVID-19-related inflammation. ⋯ Prior-statin use is associated with improved outcomes and lower inflammation as measured by suPAR levels in patients hospitalized for COVID-19.

Long-Term Functional Limitations and Predictors of Recovery after COVID-19: A Multicenter Prospective Cohort Study.
Limited data exist on post-severe COVID-19 functional trajectory, particularly considering premorbid status. We characterized 1-year functional recovery post-hospitalization for COVID-19, highlighting predictors of long-term recovery. ⋯ Our study provides compelling evidence of the long-term impact of COVID-19 on functional and cognitive status 1-year post-infection.
