Multicenter StudyCapturing treatment decision making among patients with solid tumors and their caregivers.
To examine the feasibility and acceptability of using a decision aid with an interactive decision-making process in patients with solid tumors and their caregivers during cancer-related treatment. ⋯ Decision aids can be helpful with treatment choices. Caregivers' understanding about treatment is just as important in the decision-making process as the patients' understanding. Incorporating decision aids that are delivered by healthcare providers or trained personnel has the potential to improve patients' decision satisfaction.

Trajectory and influencing factors of depressive symptoms in family caregivers before and after the death of terminally ill patients with cancer.
To explore the occurrence of depressive symptoms and factors that affect them in family caregivers before and 1, 3, 6, and 13 months after the death of a care recipient with cancer. ⋯ Healthcare professionals should pay special attention to caregivers who are the patient's spouse, have poorer health, and suffer from a higher level of depressive symptoms. Appropriate care before and after the patient's death is needed to facilitate caregivers' psychological adjustment to the loss of their relative.

Physical health, mental health, and life changes among family caregivers of patients with lung cancer.
To describe physical health, mental health, and life changes among family caregivers of patients with lung cancer. ⋯ Findings suggest that interventions are needed to address the negative physical and emotional health consequences of caring for family members with lung cancer. Such interventions could build on the relational benefits of caregiving to improve the patient-caregiver relationship and expand caregivers' support system.

Concerns across the survivorship trajectory: results from a survey of cancer survivors.
To evaluate the most prevalent physical, social, emotional, and spiritual concerns of cancer survivors. ⋯ The results of this research confirmed the importance of designing programs to support cancer survivors in an integrative manner from initial diagnosis into the period of long-term survivorship. Specific attention should be placed on the concerns related to fear of recurrence, fatigue, financial burden, and the long-term effects of cancer treatment.
