Chronic neuropathic symptoms after exposure to mustard gas: a long-term investigation.
Long-term investigations of persons exposed to mustard gas are few and have primarily focused on its carcinogenic properties. To our knowledge neuropathic pain has never been described. ⋯ Persistent damage to the afferent nerve system resulting in chronic neuropathic symptoms is probably a frequent complication in persons exposed to mustard gas.

The administration of a local anesthetic is often painful. ⋯ We describe a simple, noninvasive technique that significantly lowered perceived pain during the administration of unbuffered lidocaine with epinephrine local anesthetic.

Randomized Controlled Trial Clinical TrialNarrow band UVB (311 nm) phototherapy and PUVA photochemotherapy: a combination.
Psoralen-UVA (PUVA) photochemotherapy is widely used for the treatment of psoriasis despite concerns of skin carcinogenesis from high cumulative UVA doses and number of treatments. ⋯ Combination with 311 nm exposures enhanced the phototoxic and therapeutic activities of bath-PUVA.
