Case ReportsEndovascular embolization of an aberrant bronchial artery originating from the vertebral artery in a patient with massive hemoptysis.
Endovascular embolization has become an established procedure for the management of massive or recurrent hemoptysis. The bronchial, nonbronchial systemic and pulmonary arteries are possible sources of bleeding, and the major sources of bleeding are the bronchial arteries (BAs). ⋯ We herein present a rare case of a left BA that originated from the ipsilateral vertebral artery in a patient with massive hemoptysis caused by active tuberculosis. Transarterial embolization was successfully performed, and the hemoptysis has been controlled for 2 months.

The use of microwaves ablation in the treatment of epiphyseal osteoid osteomas.
This study was designed to demonstrate the feasibility and the reliability of microwave ablation (MWA) of epiphyseal osteoid osteomas (OO). ⋯ In our experience, MWA can be safely performed with excellent results without complications in selected cases of epiphyseal OOs; however, the clinical significance of this report is limited because there were only few patients included in this study. Thus, these data must be confirmed by further and larger studies.

Case ReportsEndovascular treatment in two cases of bilateral ischemic stroke.
Acute bilateral intracranial large artery occlusion is a rare occurrence that can lead to bihemispheric ischemia and potentially devastating functional consequences. We discuss two cases that initially presented with unilateral symptoms and did not show signs of bilateral arterial occlusions on the initial MRI imaging. ⋯ We describe our method of simultaneous sequential bilateral thrombectomy. To our knowledge, this is the first report of successful endovascular therapy in bilateral ischemic stroke.

A scoring-system for angiographic findings in nonocclusive mesenteric ischemia (NOMI): correlation with clinical risk factors and its predictive value.
This study was designed to evaluate the clinical value of a standardized angiographic scoring system in patients with nonocclusive mesenteric ischemia (NOMI). ⋯ The applied scoring system allows standardized interpretation of angiographic findings in NOMI patients. Beyond that the score seems to correlate well with risk factors of NOMI and outcome.

Outcome study of real-time MR-guided cervical periradicular injection therapy in an open 1.0 Tesla MRI system.
To evaluate the accuracy, safety, and efficacy of cervical nerve root injection therapy using magnetic resonance guidance in an open 1.0 T MRI system. ⋯ Magnetic resonance fluoroscopy-guided periradicular cervical spine injection is an accurate, safe, and efficacious treatment option for patients with cervical radicular pain. The technique may be a promising alternative to fluoroscopy- or CT-guided injections of the cervical spine, especially in young patients and in patients requiring repeat injections.
