Multicenter StudyInterventional Treatment Strategy for Primary Budd-Chiari Syndrome with Both Inferior Vena Cava and Hepatic Vein Involvement: Patients from Two Centers in China.
This retrospective study evaluated interventional treatments (recanalization, balloon dilation, and/or stent placement) for Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS), caused by combined obstruction of the inferior vena cava (IVC) and hepatic veins (HVs). ⋯ Recanalization and balloon angioplasty was effective for the management of BCS with concurrent HV and IVC occlusions. The majority of patients required only IVC recanalization. The outcome of patients treated only by IVC intervention was similar to that of patients given combined HV and IVC intervention.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyTwo-Year Mortality After Angioplasty of the Femoro-Popliteal Artery with Uncoated Balloons and Paclitaxel-Coated Balloons-A Pooled Analysis of Four Randomized Controlled Multicenter Trials.
In view of a recent meta-analysis reporting increased mortality following angioplasty with paclitaxel-coated devices in peripheral arteries, we performed a patient-level 2-year mortality analysis based on pooled original data of four randomized controlled trials (THUNDER, FEMPAC, PACIFIER and CONSEQUENT). ⋯ Based on original patient-level data of four pooled randomized controlled trials, we found no increase in 2-year mortality in patients treated with PCB compared to control patients treated with uncoated balloons. Causes of death were well balanced between PCB and control patients.

Multicenter StudyLocal Thermal Ablation with Continuous EGFR Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors for EGFR-Mutant Non-small Cell Lung Cancers that Developed Extra-Central Nervous System (CNS) Oligoprogressive Disease.
Most epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients treated with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) experience oligoprogressive disease. Local ablation for isolated resistant sites continued with the original EGFR-TKI showed good efficacy in these patients. We conducted this multicenter retrospective study to investigate the potential benefit of thermal ablation in NSCLC patients that developed extra-central nervous system (CNS) oligoprogressive disease during TKI treatment. ⋯ Local thermal ablation for the oligoprogressive lesions with continuous EGFR-TKI treatment is associated with additional 10 months of disease control and should be recommended in TKI acquired resistant-NSCLC patients.

Multicenter StudyMulticenter Prospective Clinical Series Evaluating Radiofrequency Ablation in the Treatment of Painful Spine Metastases.
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of vertebral body metastases (VBM) has been reported as safe and effective in retrospective studies. This single-arm prospective multicenter clinical study evaluates RFA in the treatment of painful VBM. ⋯ RFA with cement augmentation safely and effectively reduces pain and disability rapidly, while increasing quality of life in patients suffering from vertebral body metastases.
