Clinical TrialCT-guided percutaneous pulse-dose radiofrequency for pudendal neuralgia.
The purpose of our study was to evaluate the efficacy of computed tomography (CT)-guided percutaneous pulse-dose radiofrequency (PDRF) for the treatment of chronic pain in patients with pudendal neuralgia (PN) unresponsive to conservative approaches. ⋯ In our preliminary experience, CT-guided percutaneous PDRF should be recommended for treatment of PN because we evaluated the tolerability of this procedure with satisfactory and encouraging results.

Use of high-frequency jet ventilation for percutaneous tumor ablation.
To report feasibility and potential benefits of high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV) in tumor ablations techniques in liver, kidney, and lung lesions. ⋯ HFJV is feasible in 80 % of patients allowing for near immobility of internal organs during liver, kidney, and lung tumor ablation.

Case ReportsTraumatic laceration of the cisterna chyli treated by lymphangiography and percutaneous embolization.
Lymphangiography and percutaneous embolization has been described for the treatment of thoracic duct injury, usually occurring in the postsurgical period. We report a case of a traumatic gunshot-induced massive chylothorax. Inguinal lymphangiogram was performed demonstrating the site of injury at the cisterna chyli. ⋯ Chylothorax immediately resolved after two rounds of embolization. Although lymphangiography has been traditionally challenging and cumbersome, because of the need for pedal lymph access, the recent use of inguinal lymphangiography has made this technique more practical. Techniques used for embolization of the thoracic duct may be applied to the cisterna chyli, which is much more challenging to treat surgically.

Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) of colorectal cancer liver metastases by irinotecan-eluting microspheres in a salvage patient population.
This prospective study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of TACE using irinotecan loaded superabsorbent polymer (SAP) microspheres for treatment of colorectal cancer liver metastases (CCLM) in a salvage setting of patients. ⋯ TACE using irinotecan loaded SAP microspheres is safe and effective in terms of tumor necrosis. Survival benefit in a salvage setting seems to be limited in patients with advanced intrahepatic tumor load.

Endovascular embolization of bronchial artery originating from the upper portion of aortic arch in patients with massive hemoptysis.
Our experience with endovascular embolization (EVE) of the bronchial artery (BA) originating from the upper portion of the aortic arch (AA) in six patients is described. ⋯ Application of EVE of anomalous origin of BAs in patients with hemoptysis is important, as demonstrated in the six reported patients. MDCTA before EVE or AA angiography during EVE is critical to avoid missing a rare aberrant BA originating from the upper portion of the AA.
