Acute Massive and Submassive Pulmonary Embolism: Preliminary Validation of Aspiration Mechanical Thrombectomy in Patients with Contraindications to Thrombolysis.
The aim of this study is to assess the feasibility of aspiration mechanical thrombectomy in patients with massive and submassive pulmonary embolism (PE) and contraindications to thrombolysis. ⋯ The high technical and clinical success of the procedure employed in this study suggests that aspiration mechanical thrombectomy is a promising technique when used alone. More extensive prospective studies are needed to assess the feasibility of this treatment.

Comparative StudyPercutaneous Ablation Versus Nephrectomy for Small Renal Masses: Clinical Outcomes in a Single-Center Cohort.
To compare the outcomes of percutaneous ablation (PA) versus nephrectomy (NE) for small renal masses (SRMs) in patients with T1 renal cell carcinoma and evaluate the role of pre-procedural biopsy in the treatment of SRM. ⋯ PA is a safe alternative to NE in the treatment of SRM, with similar overall survival and decreased complication rates. Pre-procedural biopsy decreases the rate of intervention for benign tumors and should be routinely performed.

Comparative StudyFuture Liver Remnant Indocyanine Green Plasma Clearance Rate as a Predictor of Post-hepatectomy Liver Failure After Portal Vein Embolization.
To evaluate the utility of future liver remnant plasma clearance rate of indocyanine green (ICGK-F) for predicting post-hepatectomy liver failure (PHLF) compared with percentage future liver remnant volume-to-total liver volume ratio (%FLR) after portal vein embolization (PVE). ⋯ ICGK-F was significantly higher in the grade A PHLF group than in the non-grade A PHLF group (grades B and C), and ICGK-F was more useful for predicting PHLF than %FLR.

Transarterial Embolization with Small-Size Particles Loaded with Irinotecan for the Treatment of Colorectal Liver Metastases: Results of the MIRACLE III Study.
This pilot study was performed to investigate safety and local tumor control following transarterial embolization with small-size particles loaded with irinotecan (DEB-IRI) in patients with colorectal liver metastases (CRLM). ⋯ Level 4, case series.

Transarterial Radioembolization Following Chemoembolization for Unresectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Response Based on Apparent Diffusion Coefficient Change is an Independent Predictor for Survival.
To evaluate whether response based on contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) change at diffusion-weighted MRI after transarterial radioembolization (TARE) can predict survival, in patients with prior transarterial chemoembolization with drug-eluting beads (DEB-TACE) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). ⋯ ADCratio following TARE is an independent predictor for survival in patients who previously underwent DEB-TACE for HCC.
