Acute transverse myelopathy: spinal and cranial MR study with clinical follow-up.
To evaluate the contribution of MR in determining the cause of acute transverse myelopathy, to determine the frequency and types of the intracranial lesions detectable on MR at the onset of the disease, and to monitor clinical and MR evolution of the disease. ⋯ MR contributed to establishing the diagnosis in 40% of our cases.

Comparative StudyTranscranial Doppler ultrasound in the evaluation of collateral blood flow in patients with internal carotid artery occlusion: correlation with cerebral angiography.
To determine the accuracy of transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasound for evaluation of collateral supply through the circle of Willis in patients with internal carotid artery (ICA) occlusion. ⋯ TCD is a reliable tool for the evaluation of the collateral supply in patients with ICA occlusions.

Preliminary experience with MR-guided thermal ablation of brain tumors.
To evaluate the feasibility of a technique of MR-guided stereotactic radio frequency ablation, which was developed as a minimally invasive treatment for brain tumors, and to determine MR characteristics and sequential evolution of radio frequency lesions created to ablate brain tumors. ⋯ Stereotactic MR-guided radio frequency brain tumor ablation is a feasible and promising technique that can be an attractive brain tumor treatment alternative. MR provided not only accurate tumor location but also visualization of feedback of thermal tissue changes that reflected therapeutic effect.
