Case ReportsLangerhans cell histiocytosis involving the sphenoid sinus and superior orbital fissure.
We report Langerhans cell histiocytosis involving the sphenoid sinus and extending to the orbital apex. MR and CT imaging, particularly with contrast, both were helpful in defining the extent of the lesion before treatment. MR was a useful examination for follow-up after treatment. Langerhans cell histiocytosis should be considered in the differential diagnosis of lesions of this region in the pediatric age group.

We report a case of ganglioneuroblastoma of the spinal cord in a 42-year-old man. MR examination was nonspecific, and the diagnosis was made from histologic findings. The MR picture was that of an intramedullary, mainly solid tumor with a central necrotic or cystic portion. The clinical picture and course were also nonspecific.

MR of toxic effects of accelerated fractionation radiation therapy and carboplatin chemotherapy for malignant gliomas.
To present MR findings of parenchymal brain injury after accelerated fractionation radiation therapy combined with carboplatin chemotherapy in the treatment of malignant brain gliomas. ⋯ A pattern of unusual enhancing parenchymal brain lesions was seen on MR imaging after accelerated fractionation radiation therapy and concomitant carboplatin chemotherapy. The abnormalities seem more extensive than focal necrotic lesions on enhanced CT or MR imaging after conventional radiation therapy, and they may mimic recurrent tumor.
