Association between long working hours and diet quality and patterns: A latent profile analysis of a nationally representative sample of Korean workers.
Long working hours are associated with cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. This study investigated the relationship between the working hours and dietary qualities and patterns in Korean workers. ⋯ Long working hours are associated with undesirable dietary quality and patterns. Policy interventions aimed at enhancing dietary quality are needed to alleviate the health burdens associated with long working hours.

Strict regulations on energy drinks to protect Minors' health in Europe - It is never too late to set things right at home.
The consumption of energy drinks poses significant risks to minors' health, and strict regulations are urgently needed to protect them. The high caffeine, high sugar, and high caloric content of energy drinks have drawn concern from health professionals. ⋯ In light of these concerns, we strongly recommend policy measures, such as restrictions on the sale of energy drinks to minors, to prevent their health risks. The evidence clearly suggests that energy drinks pose significant risks to minors' health and well-being, and regulatory standards must be implemented without further delay.

Trends in prevalence of overweight and obesity, self-perceived overweight or obesity, and weight loss efforts among older adults in South Korea, 2005-2021.
We assessed trends in prevalence of overweight and obesity, self-perceived overweight or obesity, and efforts to lose weight among Korean older adults from 2005 to 2021. ⋯ There were increasing trends in the prevalence of overweight and obesity in older Korean men, self-perceived overweight or obesity, and weight loss efforts in older Korean men and women.

Review Meta AnalysisEstablishing multifactorial risk factors for adult-onset hearing loss: A systematic review with topic modelling and synthesis of epidemiological evidence.
This systematic review explores the multifaceted nature of risk factors contributing to adult-onset HL. The objective was to synthesise the most recent epidemiological evidence to generate pooled proportional incidences for the identified risk factors. ⋯ The findings of this review, combined with the synthesis of epidemiological evidence, enhance our understanding of hearing loss (HL) pathogenesis and highlight potential areas for intervention, thereby paving the way for more effective prevention and management of adult-onset hearing loss in our ageing global population.

Sleep duration, its change, and risk of dementia among Japanese: The Japan Public Health Center-based Prospective Study.
Previous findings on the association between sleep duration, changes in sleep duration, and long-term dementia risk were mixed. Thus, we aimed to investigate the association between midlife sleep duration, its change, and dementia. ⋯ Long and increased sleep duration was associated with a higher risk of dementia.
