Cervical spinal sarcoidosis can mimic compressive cervical myelopathy leading to potentially harmful surgical procedures before the diagnosis can be made. ⋯ In patients with compressive cervical myelopathy, leptomeningeal contrast enhancement, a T2-weighted hypersignal exceeding the compression level on MRI, and the presence of extraneurological symptoms should point to inflammatory disease. These rare manifestations may be the first symptoms of sarcoidosis and should be recognized to avoid harmful surgical procedures and to provide appropriate medical treatment.

Meta Analysis
[Naftidrofuryl in arterial obstructive disease: A systematic revue of the literature].
Arterial obstructive disease is a disease affecting 11 % of the general population. This prevalence is constantly increasing. Nafronyl is still prescribed despite a decreasing reimbursement rate since 2005. The objective of this study was to summarize data from the scientific literature on the efficacy and safety of nafronyl used for the treatment of peripheral arterial obstructive disease. ⋯ The efficacy of naftidrofuryl over the maximum walking distance in peripheral arterial obstructive disease appears similar to physical exercise or simvastatin.

[Giant cell arteritis: Role of color-duplex ultrasound].
Giant cell arteritis is the most common primary vasculitis of large-vessel occurring in subjects over 50 years of age. Many imaging techniques has been evaluated to improve the diagnosis of giant cell arteritis. Among these imaging techniques, ultrasound has shown good performances to detect inflammatory involvement of the temporal arteries as well as branches of the aorta. Several publications and recent EULAR recommendations have emhasized the place of this tool in the diagnosis of giant cell arteritis.

Tuberculosis is a human disease caused by Mycobacteriumtuberculosis, and transmitted by airborne pathway. Documented cases of tuberculosis infection in healthcare workers have been reported in both developed and developing countries. ⋯ Molecular biology techniques allow earlier diagnosis. In the event of non-compliance with airborne precautions, the investigation will further have to establish exhaustive lists of potentially exposed healthcare workers and patients, looking for cases of latent tuberculosis infections whose treatment should help avoid active tuberculosis disease.
