Case Reports[Severe hypothermia associated with cesarean section under spinal anesthesia].
Temperature monitoring and prevention of hypothermia are rarely used during spinal anaesthesia for caesarean section because hypothermia risk is considered very low. However, in same conditions, we observed two cases of severe hypothermia. ⋯ These effects are potentiated by morphinomimetic adjunction. At last, we recall prophylactics measures.

We describe a case report with moderately low plasma sodium level and predominant metabolic alkalosis. Others have reported acid-base balance disorders, although no clear pathophysiological explanation has been put forward. We hypothesize that, combine with poor protein intake, mild hyperosmolar beer leads to a water intoxication syndrome, whereas strong hyperosmolar beer intake more likely induces hypochloremic metabolic alkalosis.

Case Reports[Severe pneumococcal meningitis and ceftriaxone allergy].
We report the case of a 51-year-old man with an allergy to amoxicillin/acid clavulanique who presented with Streptococcus pneumoniae meningitis. Initial treatment consisted of an association of antibiotics including ceftriaxone. ⋯ Typically Streptococcus pneumoniae meningitis is treated with vancomycin and a third-generation cephalosporin. This association had to be modified because cross allergy to cephalosporins could have developed in this patient who had previously reacted to penicillins.

[Fiber-optic intubation with non-invasive ventilation with an endoscopic facial mask].
To assess the feasibility and safety of a new technique of fiberoptic bronchoscopy (FOB) tracheal intubation (TI) with noninvasive ventilation (NIV) via an endoscopic full facial mask with two openings, in case of acute respiratory failure (ARF) temporally improved by NIV, but requiring a mechanical ventilation. ⋯ Fiberoptic tracheal intubation with NIV via an adapted endoscopic facial mask is a safe technique in patient with ARF temporally improved by NIV. This procedure requires TA and conscious sedation.
