[Medication errors in anesthesia: a Moroccan university hospitals survey].
Medication errors are a major public health problem because of their morbidity and financial costs. In anesthesia, few articles publications, mostly retrospective, have assessed its incidence and outcomes. By our prospective study, we intend to identify and describe the drug errors in anesthesia in four university hospitals in Morocco. ⋯ Our study helped us to set recommendations, which are approved by the Moroccan pharmacovigilance center, and in accordance with the international committees to prevent the occurrence of medication errors in our daily anesthetic practice.

Assess efficacy, satisfaction and usefulness of an educational maze based on posters and audioguide for major trauma care teaching to medical students. The educational maze consists of posters with audio comments recorded in an audioguide. This tool was part of a larger educational program including medical simulation. ⋯ An educational maze based on posters and audioguides seems to be an efficient, useful tool for teaching essential knowledge on major trauma management to medical students.

[Hypothermia at admission increases the risk of pulmonary contusion's infection in intubated trauma patients].
Pulmonary contusion (PC) is common in cases of polytrauma. The aim of this study was to perform a multivariate analysis of risk factors associated with the occurrence of infection in PC and analyze the microbiological epidemiology. ⋯ In conclusion, PC was infected in 33.3% of cases. The existence of hypothermia was identified as a risk factor. A prospective study is warranted to confirm these results.

Case Reports[Arthroscopic shoulder surgery and ischemic cerebral complications].
The authors report three cases in which cerebral ischemia occurred during arthroscopic shoulder surgery performed in beach chair position under general anaesthesia and interscalene plexus block. Several similar cases have been published in the literature. ⋯ Prevention includes correction of preoperative hypovolaemia, treatment of postural arterial hypotension, adequate installation of the patient's head, aggressive treatment of perioperative arterial hypotension (whatever the cause) and avoidance of deliberate perioperative arterial hypotension. Routine use of non-invasive monitoring of cerebral oxygenation has been advocated to avoid this accident but its usefulness has to be confirmed by clinical studies.

[Prehospital analgesia with femoral nerve block following lower extremity injury. A 107 cases survey].
Femoral Nerve Block (FNB) has been proposed for femoral fracture analgesia in a prehospital setting. ⋯ Prehospital FNB appeared to be efficacious in routine practice. Teaching FNB to non-anesthesiologist physicians is challenging.
