Vascular anomalies are a complex pathological group. They are composed of hemangiomas and other vascular tumors and congenital vascular malformations: venous, lymphatic, arteriovenous and capillary malformations. The management of these anomalies is difficult and must involve an interdisciplinary approach. To help patients to understand their pathology, we have made some information documents.

Radiation burn is a determinist effect of localized irradiation. The lesion is in good correlation with absorbed dose. Radiation burn is different from thermal burn. ⋯ The new therapeutic approach combines surgery and cellular therapy with local administration of autologous mesenchymal stem cells. From 5 years, cell therapy have been an adjuvant treatment of surgery. This association is a therapeutic innovation, it's now the recommendation for conservative surgery of this very serious radiation burn.

This article traces some of the developments in the innovation of microsurgery since the first free flaps in the 1970s. French reconstructive surgeons contribution to microsurgery and composite tissue allotransplantation was particularly important. Robotic assisted microsurgery and microgravity represent some of the latest innovations.

[Muscle-sparing latissimus dorsi flap. Vascular anatomy and indications in breast reconstruction].
The muscle-sparing latissimus dorsi flap pedicled on descending branch presents distinct advantages in breast reconstruction, specially when there is a transversely oriented skin paddle, including reduced donor site morbidity, sparing muscle function and greater freedom of orientation of the skin paddle. This study reports the anatomical basis, surgical technique, advantages and complications of this technique. Four clinical cases illustrate surgical indications in breast reconstructive surgery. ⋯ The muscle-sparing latissimus dorsi flap, pedicled on descending branch, is versatile and reproducible. It results in minimal functional deficit of the donor site, absence of seroma, large freedom of orientation of the skin paddle, low rate of flap complications, and a cosmetically acceptable scar. There are a lot of indications in breast reconstruction.
