Review
Outcome of adult patients attended by rapid response teams: A systematic review of the literature.
An abundance of studies have investigated the impact of rapid response teams (RRTs) on in-hospital cardiac arrest rates. However, existing RRT data appear highly variable in terms of both study quality and reported uses of limitations of care, patient survival and patient long-term outcome. ⋯ Patients reviewed by rapid response teams have a high and variable mortality rate, and limitations of care are commonly used. Data on the long-term outcomes of RRT are lacking and needed.

Randomized Controlled Trial
The effect of a specialized content knowledge workshop on teaching and learning Basic Life Support in elementary school: A cluster randomized controlled trial.
Research investigating the effect of specialised content knowledge (SCK) on teaching and learning Basic Life Support (BLS) is lacking. ⋯ This study demonstrates that a 50-min workshop with a focus on specialised content knowledge impacted teachers' in-class behaviour, which in turn significantly improved students' BLS performance.

Observational Study
The association between anemia and neurological outcome in hypoxic ischemic brain injury after cardiac arrest.
To examine the relationship between daily mean hemoglobin concentration and neurological outcome in hypoxic ischemic brain injury (HIBI) following cardiac arrest. ⋯ Lower mean hemoglobin concentration in the first 48h and 7 days following HIBI is associated with a higher odds of unfavorable outcome at hospital discharge. Further study to examine this association is warranted.
