To evaluate four mathematical models for diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) of prostate cancer (PCa) in terms of PCa detection and characterization. ⋯ In region-of-interest based analysis, the monoexponential model for DWI of PCa using b values up to 2000 s/mm(2) was sufficient for PCa detection and characterization.

To quantitatively map cerebral metabolic rate of oxygen ( CMRO2) and oxygen extraction fraction ( OEF) in human brains using quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) and arterial spin labeling-measured cerebral blood flow (CBF) before and after caffeine vasoconstriction. ⋯ QSM can be used with perfusion measurements pre- and postcaffeine vascoconstriction to map CMRO2 and OEF.

To develop a novel MR sequence for combined three-dimensional (3D) phase-sensitive (PS) late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) and T1 mapping to allow for simultaneous assessment of focal and diffuse myocardial fibrosis. ⋯ The proposed sequence enables simultaneous acquisition of 3D PS-LGE images and spatially registered 3D T1 maps in a single scan.
