The purpose of this study was to evaluate a new inline motion compensation approach called image-based navigation with Constant Respiratory efficiency UsIng Single End-expiratory threshold (iNAV-CRUISE) for coronary MR angiography (CMRA). ⋯ The iNAV-CRUISE approach out-performs the conventional respiratory motion compensation technique in healthy subjects. Although scan time was comparable, the image quality was improved using iNAV-CRUISE. To develop quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) of bone using an ultrashort echo time (UTE) gradient echo (GRE) sequence for signal acquisition and a bone-specific effective transverse relaxation rate ( R2*) to model water-fat MR signals for field mapping. ⋯ The QSM of bone is feasible using UTE with a conventional echo time GRE acquisition and a bone-specific R2* signal model. To map brain metabolites and tissue magnetic susceptibility simultaneously using a single three-dimensional 1 H-MRSI acquisition without water suppression. ⋯ This article reports a new capability for simultaneous susceptibility mapping and metabolic imaging of the brain from a single 1 H-MRSI scan, which has potential for a wide range of applications. The purpose of this work is to derive and demonstrate constrained-phase dual-echo Dixon imaging within a maximum likelihood framework solved with a regularized graph-cuts-guided optimization. ⋯ Constrained-phase dual-echo Dixon imaging solved with a regularized graph-cuts-guided optimization has been derived and demonstrated to successfully separate water and fat images in the presence of large magnetic field inhomogeneities. Comparative Study
A comparative simulation study of bayesian fitting approaches to intravoxel incoherent motion modeling in diffusion-weighted MRI.
To assess the performance of various least squares and Bayesian modeling approaches to parameter estimation in intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) modeling of diffusion-weighted MRI data. ⋯ Bayesian modeling is capable of producing more visually pleasing IVIM parameter maps than least squares approaches, but their potential to mask certain tissue features demands caution during implementation.
