Case ReportsA rare chemical burn due to Ranunculus arvensis: three case reports.
Ranunculus arvensis, a plant that is a member of Ranunculaceae family, generally used for local treatment of joint pain, muscle pain, burns, lacerations, edema, abscess drainage, hemorrhoids, and warts among the population. In this case report, we presented three patients who developed chemical skin burns after using R. arvensis plant locally for knee pain. ⋯ Therefore, we thought that protoanemonin may be considered to be heat resistant. Also, the burn management proceeded up to surgery by using the flap technique in one of our patients in contrast to the cases found in published reports who were treated by antibiotics and dressings.

Ephedrine requirements during spinal anesthesia for cesarean delivery in Jordanian parturients: association with b2 adrenoceptor gene variants.
Maternal hypotension after spinal anesthesia for cesarean delivery is common. Many studies performed on the b2-adrenoceptor (b2AR) gene variants and their association with vasopressor requirements during and after neuroaxial block have contradictory conclusions. ⋯ Fasting time and hydration protocol, the use of a fixed dose of ephedrine, and relatively small sample size.

Multicenter StudyAntimicrobial resistance patterns of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in tertiary care hospitals of Makkah and Jeddah.
The clinical significance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa has greatly increased due to its ability to rapidly develop resistance to major groups of antibiotics. ⋯ Results cannot be generalized as the study did not include all tertiary hospitals in these cities.
