Young Black and Latino men who have sex with men (YBLMSM) have the highest rates of new HIV infections in the USA and use PrEP at lower rates than White MSM. ⋯ Modifiable barriers for PrEP uptake and persistence were reported by most participants, with an emphasis on PrEP misinformation and the pervasiveness of intersectional stigma, providers' low awareness, and hesitant attitudes towards PrEP and barriers created by insurance companies. Supportive infrastructures for PrEP providers and patients are needed.

Longitudinal Association Between Social Isolation and COVID-19 Vaccine Uptake in Japanese Older Citizen: an Observational Study.
Social isolation is associated with decreased intent to receive vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19); however, its association with COVID-19 vaccine uptake is unknown. ⋯ Social isolation is associated with reduced COVID-19 vaccine uptake among older adults. To further promote COVID-19 vaccination in the older population, support for social isolation might be necessary.

Patient-provider shared decision-making is associated with better treatment adherence and pain outcomes in opioid-specific pain management. One possible mechanism through which shared decision-making may impact pain management outcomes is trust in one's prescribing provider. Elucidating relationships between factors that enhance the patient-provider relationship, such as shared decision-making and trust, may reduce risks associated with opioid treatment, such as opioid misuse. ⋯ Shared decision-making is associated with less prescription opioid misuse through the trust that is fostered between patients and providers.
