The presentation and management of granulomatosis with polyangiitis (Wegener's Granulomatosis) in the pediatric airway.
Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) is a necrotizing inflammatory disease that can affect the airway. Blunt cerebrovascular injury (BCVI) is a known sequela of high-energy craniomaxillofacial (CMF) trauma and can result in stroke or death. As the adoption of endoscopic endonasal approaches (EEA) continues to proliferate, increasing numbers of internal carotid artery (ICA) injuries are reported.
