[Monitoring of COVID-19 patients by telemedicine with telemonitoring].
To asses if telemedicine with telemonitoring is a clinically useful and secure tool in the tracking of patients with COVID-19. ⋯ Our study suggests that telemedicine with home telemonitoring, used proactively, allows for monitoring high-risk patients with COVID-19 in a clinically useful and secure way.

[Clinical characteristics of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Spain: Results from the SEMI-COVID-19 Registry].
Spain has been one of the countries most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. ⋯ The SEMI-COVID-19 Network provides data on the clinical characteristics of patients with COVID-19 hospitalized in Spain. Patients with COVID-19 hospitalized in Spain are mostly severe cases, as one in three patients developed respiratory distress and one in five patients died. These findings confirm a close relationship between advanced age and mortality.

[Medicine, epidemiology and humanism before and after COVID-19].
The rapid spread of SARS-CoV-2 requires evidence to help mitigate its global harm. Generating accurate measurements of the appropriate clinical and epidemiological indicators associated with COVID-19 is a necessary step in reducing the current pandemic's burden on individuals and the population at large. ⋯ However, being aware of the magnitude of individual suffering endured by so many, including many esteemed, close colleagues, becomes a personal challenge of enormous proportions. It is envisaged that the arts and other humanities can help re-establish balance, both during the pandemic and especially after it.
