Results of Intradermal Skin Testing with Cefazolin according to a History of Hypersensitivity to Antibiotics.
The relationship between cephalosporin hypersensitivity and a history of β-lactam hypersensitivity is unclear. We evaluated the usefulness of routine intradermal cefazolin skin testing and its relationship with the history of β-lactam hypersensitivity. ⋯ The results suggest that routine screening involving cefazolin skin testing without negative controls is not useful for all patients, but could be helpful for those with a history of β-lactam hypersensitivity, although a large prospective study is needed to confirm this.

The Trend in Incidence and Case-fatality of Hospitalized Acute Myocardial Infarction Patients in Korea, 2007 to 2016.
The trend in the incidence of hospitalized acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and the difference between regions has not been reported in Korea since 2010. Thus, we aimed to inspect recent trends and regional differences in the incidence of AMI and case-fatality between 2007 and 2016. ⋯ Although case-fatality continuously decreased from 2007 to 2016, hospitalized AMI incidence decreased from 2007 to 2011 and gradually increased from 2011 to 2016, with marked disparity between regions. Effective preventive strategies to decrease AMI incidence are required to decrease cardiovascular disease mortality in Korea.

Meta AnalysisPrognostic Accuracy of Massive Transfusion, Critical Administration Threshold, and Resuscitation Intensity in Assessing Mortality in Traumatic Patients with Severe Hemorrhage: a Meta-Analysis.
The aim of this study was to assess the prognostic value of massive transfusion (MT), critical administration threshold (CAT), and resuscitation intensity (RI) for the mortality of trauma patients with severe hemorrhage. ⋯ CAT may be a more sensitive predictor for 24-hour mortality than other predictors. Furthermore, RI also appears to be a useful predictor for 24-hour mortality. Both MT and CAT showed high specificity for overall mortality.

Factor Analysis of the Insomnia Severity Index and Epworth Sleepiness Scale in Shift Workers.
Over one million Korean night shift workers undergo clinical assessment of sleep using the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) and Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) by occupational medical examination each year. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the reliability and validity of the ISI and ESS using occupational medical examination data. ⋯ The results suggest that the ISI and ESS have sufficient reliability and validity to be used for occupational health examinations about shift work.
