Case ReportsCOVID-19 Vaccination-Induced Ventricular Fibrillation in an Afebrile Patient With Brugada Syndrome.
A 43-year-old man presented with cardiac arrest 2 days after the second coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination with an mRNA vaccine. Electrocardiograms showed ventricular fibrillation and type 1 Brugada pattern ST segment elevation. The patient reported having no symptoms, including febrile sensation. ⋯ ST segment elevation completely disappeared in two weeks. Although there were no genetic mutations or personal or family history typical of Brugada syndrome, flecainide administration induced type 1 Brugada pattern ST segment elevation. This case suggests that COVID-19 vaccination may induce cardiac ion channel dysfunction and cause life threatening ventricular arrhythmias in specific patients with Brugada syndrome.

Multicenter Study Observational StudyMaternal and Neonatal Outcomes in Pregnant Women With Coronavirus Disease 2019 in Korea.
This study aimed to describe the maternal, obstetrical, and neonatal outcomes in pregnant women with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and identify the predictors associated with the severity of COVID-19. ⋯ At the time of COVID-19 diagnosis, gestational age and parity of pregnant women were the risk factors of disease severity. Vertical transmission of COVID-19 was not observed, and maternal severity did not significantly affect the neonatal prognosis.

Outcomes of Patients on the Lung Transplantation Waitlist in Korea: A Korean Network for Organ Sharing Data Analysis.
The demand for lung transplants continues to increase in Korea, and donor shortages and waitlist mortality are critical issues. This study aimed to evaluate the factors that affect waitlist outcomes from the time of registration for lung transplantation in Korea. ⋯ Waitlist mortality is still higher in Korea than in other countries. Future revisions to the lung allocation system should take into consideration the high waitlist mortality and donor shortages.

Case ReportsMultisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in an Adult Following COVID-19 mRNA Vaccination: Successful Treatment With Medium-Dose Steroids and Colchicine.
Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children and adults (MIS-C/A) was rarely reported as a complication of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and potential adverse events following COVID-19 vaccination. Recently, the case definition of MIS-C/A was developed by the Brighton Collaboration Network. However, only a limited number of adult patients with MIS-A following immunization have been reported, and there is still little evidence for adequate treatment. ⋯ After administration of medium-dose prednisolone (20 mg/d) with colchicine (1.2 mg/d), all symptoms and signs improved rapidly. The dose of prednisolone was gradually tapered from the third week, and the patient confirmed a full recovery without medication after 8 weeks. This is the first report showing that low-dose steroids in combination with colchicine may be an effective treatment option for MIS-A after vaccination.
