Totally Thoracoscopic Ablation in Patients With Recurrent Atrial Fibrillation After Catheter Ablation.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of totally thoracoscopic ablation (TTA) in patients with recurrent atrial fibrillation (AF) after radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA). ⋯ Patients in the CA group showed a higher recurrence rate of AF than those in the nCA group, while TTA was safely performed in both the groups.

Major Congenital Anomalies in Korean Livebirths in 2013-2014: Based on the National Health Insurance Database.
In Korea, there have been no reports comparing the prevalence of major congenital anomalies with other countries and no reports on surgical treatment and long-term mortality. We investigated the prevalence of 67 major congenital anomalies in Korea and compared the prevalence with that of the European network of population-based registries for the epidemiological surveillance of congenital anomalies (EUROCAT). We also investigated the mortality and age at death, the proportion of preterm births, and the surgical rate for the 67 major congenital anomalies. ⋯ The proportion of surgeries, preterm births and mortality was high in infants with major congenital anomalies. The establishment of a national registry of congenital anomalies and systematic support by national medical policies are needed for infants with major congenital anomalies in Korea.

Impact of Coinsurance Reduction Policy on Healthcare Utilization Among Children Under 15.
On October 1, 2017, a new coinsurance reduction policy for children under 15 was introduced to minimize the lack of inpatient medical services for economic reasons and secure children's access to medical care. ⋯ The reduction in coinsurance rate policy in hospitalization among children has increased inpatient services and reduced outpatient services for 1-5-year-olds-a substitute effect was observed in this group. There is need for further research to examine the long-term effects of the coinsurance reduction policy.

Clinical Factors for Successful Removal of Airway Silicone Stents in Patients With Post-Tuberculosis Tracheobronchial Stenosis.
After relieving stenosis with an airway silicone stent in post-tuberculosis bronchial stenosis (PTTS), stent removal is attempted if it is determined that airway patency can be maintained even after stent removal. However, the factors affecting airway stent removal are not well known. We investigate the factors that enable the successful removal of airway silicone stents in patients with PTTS. ⋯ For patients whose airway patency is determined to be maintained even without a stent, it is necessary to attempt stent removal in consideration of factors related to successful stent removal.

Case ReportsToxocara canis and Fasciola hepatica Co-Infection Leading to Hepatic Abscess: A Case Report.
Toxocariasis is a zoonotic disease caused by ingesting eggs from soil contaminated with Toxocara canis and Toxocara cati, commonly found in feces of infected dogs and cats, leading to a range of clinical symptoms including fever, abdominal pain and gastrointestinal manifestations. Fascioliasis is also a zoonotic disease caused by liver flukes Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica, which can be contracted through consumption of contaminated water or aquatic plants, leading to various clinical features. ⋯ After administrating albendazole and triclabendazole sequentially, the patient showed improvement in blood test and imaging findings. Clinicians should be aware of parasitic co-infection and take appropriate management.
