Benzodiazepines contribute to substance use disorder and are often part of polydrug abuse, most frequently with opioids. Although dental opioid prescribing differs significantly between countries, little is known about the patterns of dental benzodiazepine prescribing. The aim of this study is to compare dental prescribing of benzodiazepines among the U.S., England, and Australia in 2013-2018. ⋯ Significant variation in benzodiazepine prescribing rates and types were seen among the countries. To improve patient safety, further investigation into the appropriate use and choices of benzodiazepines in dentistry is needed.

The Announcement Approach using presumptive announcements increases human papillomavirus vaccine uptake. This study seeks to understand the impact of the final Announcement Approach steps-easing parents' vaccine concerns and then encouraging them to get human papillomavirus vaccine for their children-on parents' human papillomavirus vaccine hesitancy and confidence in the vaccine's benefits. ⋯ Addressing parents' concerns can decrease human papillomavirus vaccine hesitancy and increase confidence. On the basis of these findings, the Announcement Approach retained its emphasis on announcing that children are due for vaccination and easing parent concerns.

Greenspace exposure has been associated with physical activity, but few studies have investigated its association with physical activity in the residential neighborhood. This study investigates whether greater amounts of neighborhood open space and forest are associated with neighborhood-based walking in older adults. ⋯ Type of neighborhood green land cover (open space versus forest) may be differentially associated with neighborhood walking depending on race/ethnicity. This study suggests a possible association between greater neighborhood open space and greater walking among African Americans that must be confirmed in future studies.

Despite the greater risk of an array of morbidities, little is known about when morbidities occur for adults with cerebral palsy. The objective of this study is to determine the timecourse of morbidity risk/development for adults with cerebral palsy and the effect by patient-level factors. ⋯ Morbidity prevalence is already elevated early in adulthood among individuals living with cerebral palsy, with an abrupt increase by age 50 years. Preventive efforts should be adopted early in the lifespan and not later than age 50 years for adults with cerebral palsy.

In the U.S., children regularly consume foods from quick-service restaurants, but little is known about the marketing strategies currently used inside quick-service restaurants. This study aims to validate a child-focused Environmental Assessment Tool for quick-service restaurants, evaluate marketing strategies inside and on the exterior of quick-service restaurants, and examine differences by community race/ethnicity or income. ⋯ Environmental Assessment Tool is a valid tool to evaluate marketing inside quick-service restaurants. Results suggest that there is a substantial amount of unhealthy food and beverage marketing inside quick-service restaurants, with differences in the number and types of techniques used in lower-income and minority communities. Policies that limit quick-service restaurant marketing to children should be considered.
