Meta AnalysisLetrozole versus clomiphene citrate in polycystic ovary syndrome: a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disturbance affecting women in the reproductive age group. Review Meta AnalysisWenjing decoction (herbal medicine) for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Wenjing decoction is a well-accepted traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea in East Asia, but its clinical effectiveness and risk have not been adequately assessed. In this paper, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy of Wenjing decoction for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. ⋯ The results supported the clinical use of Wenjing decoction for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. However, the quality of the evidence for this finding was low due to a high risk of bias in the included studies. Therefore, well-designed randomized controlled trials are still needed to further evaluate the efficacy of Wenjing decoction for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.

Meta AnalysisComparison of maternal and fetal complications in elective and emergency cesarean section: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Though the same types of complication were found in both elective cesarean section (ElCS) and emergence cesarean section (EmCS), the aim of this study is to compare the rates of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality between ElCS and EmCS. ⋯ Emergency cesarean sections showed significantly more maternal and fetal complications and mortality than elective cesarean sections in this study. Certain plans should be worked out by obstetric practitioners to avoid the post-operative complications.

Review Meta AnalysisWorldwide prevalence of adverse pregnancy outcomes among singleton pregnancies after in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
The worldwide prevalence of adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs) in singleton pregnancies after in vitro fertilization (IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is suggested to vary; however, a complete overview is missing. The aim of this review is to estimate the worldwide prevalence of APOs associated with IVF/ICSI singleton pregnancies. ⋯ The IVF/ICSI singleton pregnancies are at a higher prevalence of adverse perinatal outcomes compared with those conceived naturally. Important geographical differences were found. Yet, population-wide prospective APO registries covering the entire world population for IVF/ICSI pregnancies are needed to determine the exact perinatal prevalence.
