Randomized Controlled Trial Clinical TrialEarly discharge and home rehabilitation after hip fracture achieves functional improvements: a randomized controlled trial.
To compare hospital and home settings for the rehabilitation of patients following hip fracture. ⋯ This trial further supports the practice of accelerated discharge from hospital and home-based rehabilitation in selected patients recovering from hip fracture. Such a practice appears to improve physical independence and confidence in avoiding subsequent falls which may have implications for longevity and overall quality of life.

Review Case ReportsHypnotic imagery as a treatment for phantom limb pain: two case reports and a review.
To provide a theoretical background, to review existing literature and to present new case material relevant to the treatment of phantom limb pain using hypnotic imagery. ⋯ Hypnotic procedures appear to be a useful adjunct to established strategies for the treatment of phantom limb pain and would repay further, more systematic, investigation. Suggestions are provided as to the factors which should be considered for a more systematic research programme.

To assess the test-retest reliability of two questionnaires for measuring activity limitations in patients with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome type 1 (CRPS I) of the lower extremity. ⋯ Both questionnaires form a reliable tool for measuring activity limitations of patients with CRPS I of a lower extremity.
