Randomized Controlled TrialExercise, manual therapy, and education with or without high-intensity deep-water running for nonspecific chronic low back pain: a pragmatic randomized controlled trial.
The aim of this study on persons with nonspecific chronic low back pain was to evaluate the effect of a multimodal physical therapy program with or without the addition of deep-water running on pain, physical disability, and general health. ⋯ Pain, disability, health status, muscle strength and endurance, and lumbar range of motion significantly improved in both groups. The addition of a deep-water running program at an individual workload of the aerobic threshold to the multimodal physical therapy program produced a significant improvement in pain in patients with nonspecific chronic low back pain, but this was not significantly different when compared with multimodal physical therapy program alone. Disability, health status, muscle strength and endurance, and lumbar range of motion significantly improved to a similar level in both intervention groups.

Comparative StudyThe accuracy of ultrasound-guided and palpation-guided peroneal tendon sheath injections.
The aim of this study was to describe and to validate an ultrasound-guided peroneal tendon sheath (PTS) injection technique and to compare the accuracy of ultrasound-guided vs. palpation-guided PTS injections in a cadaveric model. ⋯ In a cadaveric model, ultrasound-guided PTS injections are significantly more accurate than palpation-guided injections. When performing PTS injections, clinicians should consider ultrasound guidance to improve injection accuracy and minimize potential complications such as intratendinous injection.

Treating spastic equinus foot from cerebral palsy with botulinum toxin type A: what factors influence the results?: an analysis of 189 consecutive cases.
The aim of this study was to determine the variables that improve spastic equinus foot caused by cerebral palsy when treated with botulinum toxin type A. ⋯ The dose per kilogram of Botox injected into triceps suralis and the patient age influence the results. The most effective dose is different between diplegic and hemiplegic patients. The concentration of botulinum toxin type A does not play a significant role in the outcome.
