Purpose: The aim of this research is to perform a literature review of the treatments available for the anterior iliac spines avulsion fracture on the young subjects. Material and Methods: We performed a systematic literature search for studies on spines avulsion fractures in young subjects from January 1, 2013, to February 2018; abstracts were screened by a single reviewer. ⋯ All the studies belonged to level IV of scientific evidence. 64 patients suffered an anterior inferior iliac spine fracture while patients 36% patients suffered an anterior superior iliac spine fracture. 93.2% underwent conservative treatment and 6.8% underwent surgery. Conclusions: The anterior iliac spine avulsions fractures are rare injuries that occur in young male athletes and the conservative option is the most selected treatment modality.

Peritoneal invasion is more common and has a worse prognosis in gastric cancer than most of other intestinal cancers. Advanced gastric cancers have a poor course in terms of the development of peritoneal carcinomatosis and prognosis, even if the curative resection has been performed. Patients usually die within the first 2 years of the postoperative period mainly due to peritoneal metastasis. ⋯ Curative resection following neoadjuvant chemotherapy, postoperative oral S-1 chemotherapy, intraoperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy (IPC), and extensive intraoperative peritoneal lavage (EIPL)-IPC are recommended as therapeutic approaches. Although there is a limited number of studies on EIPL, which is a promising and exciting method in this patient population, unexpected results of survival have been demonstrated. We consider that the results of ongoing and further studies would lead to an extensive use of EIPL, which is a simple and easy method which can be applied anywhere and anytime, in patients with advanced gastic cancer and/or peritoneal cytology positive but peritoneal metastasis negative (CY+/P0) gastric cancer.

The Effectiveness of Bariatric Surgery for Chinese Obesity in 2 Years: A Meta-Analysis and Systematic Review.
Bariatric surgery is becoming an acceptable option for treatment of obesity worldwide, but there is no systemic review and meta-analysis focusing on obese patients in China. This study is to quantify the overall effects of bariatric surgery for Chinese obesity using up-to-date, comprehensive data. ⋯ Bariatric surgery provides substantial metabolic effects for Chinese morbid obese adults at least in a relative short term. Further high-quality randomized controlled trials with long follow-up periods are needed to provide more reliable evidence.

Pancreaticojejunostomy Versus Pancreaticogastrostomy After Pancreaticoduodenectomy: An Up-to-date Meta-Analysis.
The reconstruction of the pancreas after pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) is a crucial factor in preventing postoperative complications as pancreatic anastomosis failure is associated with a high morbidity rate and contributes to prolonged hospitalization and mortality. Several techniques have been described for the reconstruction of pancreatic digestive continuity in the attempt to minimize the risk of a pancreatic fistula. The aim of this study was to compare the results of pancreaticogastrostomy and pancreaticojejunostomy after PD. ⋯ This meta-analysis suggests that the most effective treatment for reconstruction of pancreatic continuity after pancreatoduodenectomy is pancreaticogastrostomy. However, the advantage of the latter could potentially be demonstrated through further RCTs, including only patients at high risk of developing pancreatic fistulas.
