A conversion from Hashimoto's thyroiditis to Graves' disease and vice versa leads to diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. ⋯ We suggest educating patients and physicians to recognize changes in thyroid function and close monitoring of unclear cases of overt hyperthyroidism.

Thyroid ultrasound plays a major role in the clinical management of patients with thyroid nodules. Comprehensive reporting enables malignant risk stratification and biopsy decisions. In this study, we aimed at a systematic evaluation of the content and completeness of thyroid radiology reports. ⋯ Despite easily accessible templates, reporting of thyroid nodule sonogram continues to be incomplete and inconsistent. This in turn constitutes a waste of a significant tool that could otherwise help in making timely informed medical decisions and in providing a significant platform for patients' future follow-up.

Prognosis of Primary Osteosarcoma in Elderly Patients: A Comparison between Young and Elderly Patients.
Osteosarcoma is the most common malignant bone tumor in childhood. Although a poorer prognosis has been described in older patients, few reports have focused solely on primary osteosarcoma. We evaluated the clinical features of elderly patients with primary osteosarcoma. ⋯ Primary osteosarcoma in elderly patients showed a high incidence of axial bone involvement, a low rate of chemotherapy, and resistance to chemotherapy. Although the final life prognosis is poor, survival may be relatively prolonged.

The aim of this study was to assess the epidemiological, clinical, endoscopic, and pathohistological characteristics of pediatric eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) in Serbia. ⋯ An increase in the incidence of EoE in Serbian children is evident. The biopsy rate in children with nonspecific and reflux symptoms should be increased, as well as the number of biopsy samples for the detection of subepithelial fibrosis. In immunocompetent children with infectious esophagitis, EoE should be suspected and endoscopy may be recommended after successful treatment of infection.
