A third (booster) dose of the anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccine became necessary due to the observed decrease in anti-SARS-CoV-2S antibody levels over time, new mutations, and low global vaccination rates. In this study, anti-SARS-CoV-2S antibody levels were measured (ECLIA assay) in 50 healthcare workers with and without a history of COVID-19 infection to determine the humoral immune response to the third dose of the BNT162b2 vaccine. ⋯ The results of this study can be used to improve the vaccination strategy for the general population.KEY MESSAGESThree doses of the vaccine BNT162b2 strongly stimulate the immune system to produce anti-SARS-CoV-2s antibodies, especially in people with a previous infection COVID-19.Age, gender, and BMI may be associated with different humoral immune response to the BNT162b2 vaccine.

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and fibromyalgia have overlapping neurologic symptoms particularly disabling fatigue. This has given rise to the question whether they are distinct central nervous system (CNS) entities or is one an extension of the other. ⋯ This supports the notion that ME/CFS and fibromyalgia as currently defined are not distinct entities.Key messageME/CFS and fibromyalgia as currently defined are not distinct entities.Unbiased quantitative mass spectrometry-based proteomics can be used to discover cerebrospinal fluid proteins that are biomarkers for a condition such as we are studying.

This study aimed to identify the appropriate signature veins for the right adrenal gland using a 3D model fused with adrenal venography images and to verify their accuracy through the selectivity index (SI) >2. ⋯ Our study identified the right adrenal signature veins, including the previously overlooked uvula vein, which can be used to determine the position of the catheter tip and improve the success rate of AVS.

To investigate trajectories of recovery of motor arm function after stroke during inpatient rehabilitation. ⋯ We found unique patterns of arm recovery with distinct characteristics for each cluster. Better understanding of patterns of arm recovery can guide future models and intervention development.KEY MESSAGESArm recovery early after stroke follows four distinct trajectories that relate to time post stroke, initial stroke severity and baseline level of motor arm function.Identification of recovery patterns gives insight into the uniqueness of individual's recovery. This study offers a novel approach on which to build and develop future models of arm recovery.

To investigate the predictive value of the prognostic nutritional index (PNI) for the effectiveness of infliximab (IFX) in patients with Crohn's disease (CD). ⋯ The PNI may serve as a novel and promising biomarker in predicting the effectiveness of IFX and contribute to targeted management in CD.
