A series of cases have reported graft delamination as a rare complication of early-cannulation arteriovenous graft (ecAVG). The unique multilayer structure of ecAVGs contributes to the property of cannulation as early as hours after implantation, but on other hand it takes the risk of graft delamination. However, the underlying mechanism and management of graft delamination as well as its effects on the long-term patency of ecAVGs have not been systemically analyzed. ⋯ Graft delamination was not a rare complication of ecAVGs in this cohort. It significantly reduced the long-term patency of AVGs. PGR might be a more effective therapeutic way than endovascular treatments.

Hypertension is one of the major risk factors for cardiovascular events. This study aims to analyse the association of endothelial function and limb artery indices with coronary artery stenosis (CAS) severity in hypertension based on easily accessible and detailed clinical information, and to help accurately identify high-risk groups and avoid missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis. ⋯ This study shows that baPWV, ABI and FMD are independent risk factors for CHD, of which, baPWV and ABI are strongly associated with CAS severity in hypertensive patients. The predictive ability of CHD in hypertensive patients may be enhanced through combining the three endothelial function and limb artery indicators. The results may help to facilitate clinical decision-making during treatment and management of coronary artery disease.

Little is known how individual time-in-therapeutic-range (TTR) impacts the effectiveness and safety of warfarin therapy compared to direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). ⋯ The outcome was unsatisfactory in the two lowest TTR quartiles - in half of the patients treated with warfarin. The differences between the high TTR groups and standard dose DOACs were absent or modest.

The association of appendicular skeletal muscle mass (ASM), grip strength and fat-to-muscle ratio (FMR) and the progression of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) are not well known. ⋯ In a middle-to-elderly aged population, FMR was positively associated with the risk of MASLD and MASLD-associated liver fibrosis, and muscle mass and grip strength were negatively associated with MASLD, rather than MASLD-associated liver fibrosis.

To investigate a comprehensive panel of biomarkers and risk of aortic stenosis (AS) in a prospective population-based study. ⋯ Biomarkers reflecting insulin resistance are risk factors for AS, a novel finding indicating that insulin resistance is important in the pathogenesis of AS.
