The manuscript discusses landmark studies using abbreviated MRI for breast cancer screening. This includes abbreviated dynamic contrast enhanced MRI and diffusion weighted imaging. Our institutional experience with abbreviated MR protocol for breast cancer screening is also described. ⋯ Abbreviated MRI protocols were found to demonstrate value for screening of breast cancer. It has been shown that abbreviated protocol MRI provides similar diagnostic sensitivities to full protocol MRI for breast cancer in women with increased lifetime risk. Our institutional abbreviated MRI protocol for breast cancer offers improved time and workflow efficiencies and has the potential to increase the number of breast cancers detected and the detection of pathologically relevant invasive breast cancer at earlier stages.

To prospectively examine the possible relationship between oxygen saturation changes and anxiety during MRI examinations. ⋯ To investigate a possible relationship between oxygen saturation changes during MRI examinations and MRI-induced anxiety, we designed a prospective study. We detected statistically significant lower oxygen saturation levels during the examination compared to pre- and post-MRI levels. However, no statistically significant relationship was found between the oxygen saturation decrease and pre- and post-MRI STAI scores.

Malignant obstruction of the IVC can cause severe morbidity and impairment of quality of life in end-stage oncology patients. However, medical literature regarding minimally-invasive palliation using large diameter percutaneous stents, particularly the Gianturco-Rosch-Z (GRZ) stent is limited. ⋯ Endovascular treatment of malignant IVC obstruction can be safely performed with GRZ stents. Although overall survival is poor, this technique can effectively palliate lower extremity edema symptoms.

Genicular nerve block and subsequent radiofrequency neurotomy (RFN) has emerged as a novel intervention and alternative for total knee arthroplasty in patients with refractory pain from knee osteoarthritis (OA). To our knowledge, there is no cited report correlating the accuracy of localizing the genicular nerves using bony landmarks on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). ⋯ The intersection of the femoral diaphyseal shaft to a line along the metaphyseal flare and the intersection of the tibial diaphyseal shaft to a line along the medial metaphyseal can be used as a target point to localize the genicular nerves with close proximity.

Woven EndoBridge (WEB) is an innovative device for the treatment of intracranial aneurysms especially wide-necked bifurcation aneurysms. Here we present our experience with the WEB device. ⋯ Although long term follow-up data are not available, WEB intrasaccular flow disruptor seems to be effective and safe for intracranial bifurcation aneurysm treatment in the mid-term follow up.
