Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study Clinical Trial
Comparative study on a single treatment response to long pulse Nd:YAG lasers and intense pulse light therapy for hair removal on skin type IV to VI--is longer wavelengths lasers preferred over shorter wavelengths lights for assisted hair removal.
To investigate the safety and effectiveness of a long pulsed Nd:YAG (1064nm) laser compared to a shorter wavelength intense pulse light system for assisted hair removal in volunteers with skin type 1V, V and VI. ⋯ In our experience the long pulse width 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser, which can penetrate 5-7 mm into the dermis depths to reach the whole length of the hair follicle, would be expected to produce sufficient follicular injury with less epidermal damage in patients with darker skin type compared to shorter wavelength laser and light system.

This report describes the case of a patient with erythrodermic psoriasis who had failed all previous therapies and been hospitalized numerous times over a 12-year period that responded dramatically to treatment with infliximab. The potential utility of infliximab as a therapeutic alternative for erythrodermic psoriasis is discussed.

Case Reports
A case of recurrent acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis due to beta-lactam antibiotics: a case report.
A case of acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) is presented. The case is notable for the recurrent episodes of AGEP, caused by three beta-lactam antibiotics (piperacillin, ceftazidime, and meropenem) in septicemic patient. The case represents the first report of the reaction developing in response to these three antibiotics. The report is also notable for the spontaneous resolution of the rash in all the three episodes.

Phototherapy and photochemotherapy (PUVA therapy) have revolutionized the treatment of many photodermatoses and can offer photosensitive patients an improved quality of life. This is especially the case for polymorphic light eruption, chronic actinic dermatitis, erythropoietic protoporphyria and solar urticaria.

A 23 year old woman who presented with severe acne had been treated with 40 mg/day isotretinoin. On her monthly control, severe cheilitis and bilateral toe nail onycholysis were observed. ⋯ Although dystropic nail, paronichia-like changes, median nail dystrophy have previously been reported with isotretinoin therapy, onycholysis is rare. In this report, we describe a case with isotretinoin induced nail fragility and onycholysis.
