Cancer risk algorithms were introduced to clinical practice in the last decade, but they remain underused. ⋯ Cancer risk algorithms have the potential to impact risk assessment and decision making and may have a role as learning tools. Informing clinicians about their proven usefulness to colleagues may maximise impact.

The NHS App was launched as a 'front door' to digitally enabled health services, offering a range of services including appointment booking and ordering prescriptions. The extent of App use and its impacts on digital inclusion is under-explored. ⋯ There is high uptake of the NHS App but there are differences in adoption rates among different population groups and issues of relevance and accessibility, that warrant further work.

Mesothelioma is a terminal disease linked to asbestos exposure, often with a poor prognosis. Palliative care can be valuable at all stages of the disease trajectory. GPs have a key role in supporting such patients. Continuity is difficult to provide within the current NHS primary care system but is highly valued by patients with mesothelioma. ⋯ More research is needed to understand the experiences of continuity in primary care among people with mesothelioma. Specifically, there is an evidence gap regarding understanding their ability to achieve their desired level of continuity within primary care.

On 2 August 2022, it was announced by the NHS that all patients suffering from type 1 diabetes (T1DM) would be eligible for continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Patients previously would have needed to scan or take a finger prick test at fixed time intervals to monitor their blood glucose. ⋯ Patients no longer need to live in fear of hyperglycaemia and maintain need for routine glucose measurements, allowing patients to live a more convenient and stress-free lifestyle.All of the T1DM patients (100%) registered at Broom Lane Medical Centre are eligible to be switched over to the CGM.
