A new modified pararectus approach and visualization: an anatomical study.
The aim of our study was to visualize all the windows used in the pararectus approach with detailed cadaver images to facilitate better understanding of orthopedic surgeons and, in addition, was to modify the incision used in the pararectus approach to a more cosmetic bikini incision. ⋯ The anatomical data regarding the modified pararectus approach in this study will assist orthopedic surgeons in the surgical management of acetabular and pelvic fractures.

Dimensions of the anterior cruciate ligament and thickness of the distal femoral growth plate in children: a MRI-based study.
When determining the dimensions of an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) graft in children, bone age should be considered in addition to the patient's age, gender, and body height. ⋯ III-retrospective cohort study.

Popliteomeniscal fascicles tears with lateral meniscus instability: outcomes of arthroscopic surgical technique at mid-term follow-up.
The popliteomeniscal fascicles (PMFs) are a crucial part of the posterolateral corner of the knee. They provide stability to the lateral meniscus and stabilize the joint during tibial internal rotation. The clinical diagnosis of a torn PMFs is difficult, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) may be inconclusive as well. The aim of the present study was to report the outcomes of a continuous series of patients affected by PMF lesions and treated with an arthroscopic repair. ⋯ Case series, 4.

Results of primary radial corrective osteotomy in Madelung's deformity.
The purpose of this study was the evaluation of surgical outcomes in a series of wrists with Madelung's deformity treated with radial corrective osteotomy. We hypothesize that this surgical technique is a suitable and safe way of treatment. ⋯ Radial corrective osteotomy was a suitable treatment of Madelung's deformity in our collective, although surgical outcomes are not yet fully satisfying.

Anterior mid-portion capsular tear with Bankart lesion in recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation: outcome report and bone defect evaluation.
This study aimed to report the incidence of anterior mid-portion capsular tears identified during arthroscopic Bankart repair (ABR), the clinical outcomes of repairing this combined lesion, and to evaluate the associated bone defects. ⋯ There was no recurrent shoulder instability after combined arthroscopic repair of capsular and Bankart lesions. There were Rowe score improvements over at least three years of follow-up. Although our case number was small, we found that mid-portion capsular tear occurred in patients over 30 years with multiple recurrent dislocations, with or without small glenoid bone defects, and with axillary pouch disruption on MRA images.
