ReviewClassifications of posterior malleolar fractures: a systematic literature review.
Complex ankle fractures frequently involve the posterior malleolus. Many classifications describing posterior malleolar fractures (PMF) exist. The aim of this study was to provide a systematic literature review to outline existing PMF classifications and estimate their accuracy. ⋯ None of the reviewed PMF classifications has been able to establish itself decisively in the literature. Most of the classifications are insufficient in terms of a derivable treatment algorithm or a prognosis with regard to outcome. However, as the Bartoníček/Rammelt classification has the greatest potential due to its treatment algorithm, its reliability in combination with consistent predictive values, its usage in clinical practice and research appears advisable.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyPercutaneous kyphoplasty combined with zoledronic acid for the treatment of primary osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture: a prospective, multicenter study.
To explore the therapeutic efficacy of percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP) combined with zoledronic acid (ZOL) in postmenopausal women and adult men with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture (OVCF). ⋯ The therapeutic efficacy of PKP combined with ZOL for primary OVCF is clinically beneficial and warrants further study.

ReviewLong-term results after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using patellar tendon versus hamstring tendon autograft with a minimum follow-up of 10 years-a systematic review.
A lot of research addresses superiority of the two commonly used autografts bone-patellar tendon-bone (BPTB) and hamstring tendon for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, without getting to consensus. While there are numerous studies and reviews on short- to mid-term follow-up, not much literature is available on long-term follow-up. As patients suffering ACL injuries are often of young age and high athletic activity, it is crucial to have the best evidence possible for graft choice to minimize consequences, like osteoarthritis later on. ⋯ IV.

Periprosthetic femoral fractures around the original cemented polished triple-tapered C-stem femoral implant: a consecutive series of 500 primary total hip arthroplasties with an average follow-up of 15 years.
The true incidence of periprosthetic femoral fracture (PFF) around cemented polished taper-slip implants remains largely unknown. Registries usually only capture PFFs that result in revision, missing those managed non-operatively or treated by open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF). This study reports the long-term rate of PFF with the original triple-tapered C-stem femoral implant. ⋯ A PFF rate of 1.4% at an average follow-up of 15 years represents the true incidence of PFF with the use of the original triple-tapered C-Stem femoral implant, similar to that of published Exeter series (1.85%) but lower than the CPT (3.3%).

ReviewPatient-reported outcome measures for patellofemoral disorders: a systematic review.
Patellofemoral conditions include, but are not limited to, anterior knee pain syndrome and patellar instability. Patients and surgeons may find it difficult to identify the specific source of the symptoms and clinical scenarios, so patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) may be a useful diagnostic aid. There are a number of available PROMs for patellofemoral conditions, which are often used indistinctly. This systematic review explores the available PROMs for patellofemoral conditions, their use and methodological quality. ⋯ Level II.
