Toward a practical protocol for human optic nerve DTI with EPI geometric distortion correction.
To develop a practical protocol for diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) of the human optic nerve with echo planar imaging (EPI) geometric distortion correction. ⋯ The proposed technique could provide a practical DTI protocol to study the human optic nerve.

Comparative StudyDilution method of gadolinium ethoxybenzyl diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA)-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
To elucidate whether a contrast agent dilution method (dilution method), in which gadoxetate disodium (Gd-EOB-DTPA) is diluted with saline, is useful for good-quality arterial-phase images. ⋯ The dilution method contributed to improved image quality, high lesion-liver contrast, and high lesion detectability in the arterial-phase images of GD-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI.

Initial feasibility of a multi-station high resolution three-dimensional dark blood angiography protocol for the assessment of peripheral arterial disease.
To evaluate the feasibility of a multi-station three dimensional (3D) T1-weighted turbo spin echo (TSE) dark-blood Sampling Perfection with Application optimized Contrasts using different flip angle Evolution sequence (T1w-SPACE), to assess aorta, iliac, and superficial femoral (SFA) arteries (inflow vessels) by comparing it with a multi-station contrast enhanced MR angiography (CE-MRA) with identical resolution. ⋯ T1w-SPACE imaging of inflow vessels is feasible, and in addition to CE-MRA has the ability to assess atherosclerotic plaque and vascular remodeling.

Multicontrast late gadolinium enhancement imaging enables viability and wall motion assessment in a single acquisition with reduced scan times.
To determine the accuracy of multicontrast late enhancement imaging (MCLE) in the assessment of myocardial viability and wall motion compared to the conventional wall motion and viability cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) pulse sequences. ⋯ MCLE provided coregistered images for the assessment of viability and wall motion without loss of accuracy in the assessment of quantitative cardiac parameters. MCLE provides accurate quantitative cardiac assessment with reduced scan times compared to the conventional sequences and thus may be used as an alternative to conventional cine SSFP and IR-GRE imaging.

Gadolinium pharmacokinetics of chronic myocardial infarcts: Implications for late gadolinium-enhanced infarct imaging.
To monitor gadolinium pharmacokinetics in the hearts of patients with chronic myocardial infarcts and to determine the variability of contrast agent concentrations and accuracy of infarct detection over an hour time period. ⋯ The ability to discriminate between infarcted myocardium and the LV bloodpool improves with an increasing delay after contrast agent administration while discrimination between viable myocardium and the LV bloodpool decreases.
